Beacon is a gorgeous city nestled in the beautiful Dutchess County NY with a rich history. It was purchased from the Wappinger Native American tribe in 1693 by merchant fur-traders settling the area. Once a booming town of industry along the Hudson River, Beacon’s recent renaissance as a destination arrived in 2003 with the construction of the Dia Beacon Modern Art Museum.  Located right off I-84.
